How It Works
Ellacor uses hollow needles to remove micro-cores of skin, resulting in an improved appearance of moderate and severe wrinkles in the mid and lower face without the evidence of scarring.
- The internal diameter of each needle is less than 0.5mm, which is below the threshold for scarring.
- The device precisely moves these needles across the treatment area, removing micro-cores of skin as it goes.
- A 10mm square area can be treated in less than three seconds, which means the entire procedure is typically finished in less than 30 minutes.
- Heat is not used in the procedure, so there is no risk of unintended thermal injury.
- After the procedure, the body’s natural healing response goes into effect as the skin quickly realigns to close the cores.
- This results in improved skin architecture and natural-looking results.
Am I a Good Candidate for Ellacor?
Ellacor is recommended for patients above 22 years old who are looking for non-surgical solutions for their skin laxity and signs of facial aging. It works best for patients with good skin elasticity and a smaller amount of excess skin. Patients with Fitzpatrick skin types I-IV are good candidates.
Ellacor is not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding women. Patients with medical conditions that affect proper wound healing are also not suitable candidates for this skin-tightening treatment. This procedure is also not ideal for patients with darker skin tones.
The Consultation
When you come to Totality Medspa, we will listen to your goals and concerns. A skin evaluation will help determine if your skin type and skin health qualify for Ellacor skin tightening or if you need a different skin-rejuvenation solution.
If you are a candidate for Ellacor skin tightening, we will create a treatment plan and discuss all the details with you. We will make sure to answer all of your questions during the consultation.
Ellacor Aftercare
The patient can go home after the treatment session. Aftercare instructions will be provided to help during the recovery process. The patient may experience minor symptoms such as redness and swelling for the first few days. It is important to cover the treated area with ointment for one or two days. Makeup and harsh skin products are prohibited for at least a week.
Patients usually require two to three treatment sessions. Improvement in skin laxity can be observed after several weeks, and patients will see optimal results after a few months.

I highly recommend Totality specifically the Downtown location! It is always so refreshing walking into a place filled with people that all truly care about you. The girls in the front specifically Christina are so welcoming and friendly. They greet you with smiles and make the paperwork/photos process and scheduling so easy. I have been using Obagi Nu Derm RX products prescribed by a doctor many years back from UAE and I never needed a prescription after that. I have been buying them every year when I travel . This year I couldn’t travel and I thought that Obagi FX would control my pigmentation but it didn’t work. My melasma is back and my skin started to look so dull with an uneven skin tone which is making me look ugly :((. Canada doesn’t sell RX system . If I want to buy the product online then I need a prescription and to find an online physician …in short very disappointed.
