Prenatal Massage

Massage during pregnancy is a therapeutic type of bodywork that is designed to address the needs of the pregnant woman as her body goes through the typical changes of gestation. It is performed in a sideline position, when a mom-to-be comfortably propped by a body pillow.

Though massage can be received by majority of women through the most pregnancy term, to stay on a safe side, we recommend not to book it until you are over 14 weeks and prior to last four weeks. If you are willing to schedule a treatment after 8th month, a written consent from your obstetrician will be asked for to present.

Massage therapy can reduce and relieve muscular aches and ease joint pain, decrease anxiety. A soothing pregnancy massage can decrease norepinephrine and cortisol - stress hormones that may negatively affect pregnancy.
